ABOUT THE JOURNAL

The Oregon Undergraduate Research Journal (OURJ) is an open-access, interdisciplinary student journal at the University of Oregon. Since 2010, OURJ’s biannual issues have showcased some of the best academic work by UO undergraduate students across all disciplines.

OURJ is edited and produced by an undergraduate student editorial board of peer editors. Our board is composed of individuals with rich writing, editing, and research experiences who are passionate about the publication of undergraduate work.

We publish

Undergraduate Research

Our publications are centered on undergraduate research. We accept papers from all academic fields, and past submissions have included term papers, literature reviews, and honors theses.

Faculty Editorials

OURJ introduces each issue with a thought-provoking piece by a UO professor. These essays often reflect on the value of undergraduate research and contextualize it within the current sociopolitical climate.

Student Art

The board selects a piece of student-produced creative work as the cover art for every issue. Multiple art features are published throughout the body of each publication as well.
